Samu Games SAMU GAMES ANNOUNCES PUBLIC BETA OF NEW GAME, ARTIFACT Tulsa, OK, March 4, 1999 -- Samu Games. Artifact, the new Internet-based game from Samu Games, is now in public beta. Combining empire-building, city planning and management, and real-time combat resolution in a persistant-world, multi-player environment, Artifact represents the next generation of online games. "Artifact allows you to test your strategic skills in an online community that offers integral teams and unlimited opponents," says Douglas "Dug" Michael, Samu Games VP of Product Development and lead designer of Artifact. "We're excited to finally be able to make Artifact available to the game-playing public." Artifact can be played over virtually any Internet connection, regardless of the player's ISP. The Artifact client software is currently only available for Windows 95/98/NT. Artifact is free to play, though with some restrictions.
